This is the first party of eighteen Fairbridge boys who sailed from Southampton, England, 18th November 1946 on the Carnarvon Castle, and pictured disembarking at Cape Town, South Africa, 4th December 1946 on their way to start new lives at Rhodesia Fairbridge Memorial College in Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia.
